The Waterfront Restaurant at the Tobermory Hotel is a fabulous location for a meal. Chef Helen Swinbanks and her team offer superb food, locally sourced - you could be eating langoustines straight off the boat or fish caught that day by chef herself. a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The menu changes daily and Helen is constantly introducing new dishes into her repertoire.

Western Isles Hotel
 

This hotel is probably in one of the most superb locations on the island in an elevated position overlooking the bay. The hotel is now under new ownership (no longer part of a large chain) with a renowned chef who is producing excellent bar and restaurant meals.

With a terrace overlooking the splendour of Tobermory bay in Summer, and a roaring real fire in Winter months, An Tobar cafe is always worth a visit. They serve a selection of teas and coffees, alongside the best of traditional local baking. During the summer season, they also serve light lunches including soup and sandwiches.

Cafe Fish
 

Cafe Fish have their own boat so shellfish is landed daily, local boats land monkfish, dover sole, cod and squid. Oysters come from Croig, mussels from Inverlussa and salad leaves, herbs and tomatoes are picked daily and supplied from Glengorm Gardens - all on the island.  Lonely Planet have recommended Cafe Fish as one of their top 5 restaurants to eat in Scotland.
The “Specials” board changes daily depending what the sea throws up.

Chip Van
 

Tobermory Chip Van is a holder of the prestigious "Les Routiers" award. They use only the best quality fish & scallops cooked to order. The setting on Tobermory waterfront is fantastic, just watch out for the seagulls. The steps by the Clock Tower and the lobster creels on the pier provide seating!

Glengorm Coffee Shop
 

The former steadings and workshops have been renovated and are now home to the Glengorm Coffee Shop, selling roasted coffee, fresh baking and lunches. If going for lunch get there early as this is one of the most popular places for lunch in the Tobermory area. All food is cooked on the premises using produce from the farm and walled garden. There is also a farm shop on the premises selling Hebridean lamb, beef, wild venison and a range of preserves and chutneys. Open March - October.

Macdonald Arms
 

This is probably one of the best value places to eat in Tobermory, good simple home cooked food with choice of burgers for the children. Roaring fire during the winter months and colder days. Traditional scottish pub and the perfect place to enjoy a wee dram with the locals.

Macgochans
 

Macgochans is situated alongside Ledaig carpark in Tobermory. Mainly a typical bar menu but specials are usually available. Try the locally caught fish and  chips and the Glengorm steak pie. - both highly recommended.  This is a child friendly environment. There is a large outside seating area which means there should be plenty of room but the pub can get very busy at mealtimes so best to get there early.

Mishnish Hotel
 

The Mishnish hotel is situated on the sea front of Tobermory's busy yachting and fishing harbour, the hotel has been in the same family for over a hundred years. The hotel serves typical bar meals in the lovely traditional downstairs bar or enjoy a meal upstairs in the restaurant, One Up at the Mish.

Mull Pottery
 

Visit a mezzanine-level licensed Café/Bistro, which overlooks the Gallery below serving food on the Mull Pottery tableware. Here you can enjoy the best of local produce, with Costa coffee. The Café/Bistro has an enviable reputation for home-made soups and delicious home baking with hot food being served all day. The evening Bistro serves traditional and adventurous meals, local seafood, game and farm produce. Children's menu available.

One Up at the Mish                
 

One Up at The Mishis Tobermory's most recently established restaurant located above the Mishnish Hotel on the waterfront in Tobermory. It offers the best of fresh Scottish produce, ocean grill and foremost local steakhouse. All the fish and meat is locally sourced and each dish is cooked to order. Friendly and informal atmosphere.

Posh Nosh
 

Posh Nosh is a small and friendly café, situated just behind the Post Office on Tobermory's Main Street. The café offers teas & coffees, lunches, snacks & dinners. Their local specialities include hand-dived scallops and Highland Drovers' beef burgers. Internet facilities also available. Open from Easter to October.

Sagar Indian Restaurant
 

Sagar Indian Balti House is centrally situated in the centre of Tobermory. The restaurant is able to cater for groups, particularly if advanced warning is given. The takeaway prices are 10% lower than the restaurant prices.
